Shannon
Owner/Founder
After attending high school in Wimberley, Shannon left to earn her degree in Psychology at the University of North Texas in Denton. However, the beauty of the Texas Hill Country led her home, where she returned to eventually marry and start her family. She began fostering feral cats and kittens, and that, along with her deep love of all animals, led her to begin pet sitting as a hobby while raising her three sons, Paxton, Gibson and August.
In 2020, she officially launched Puppy Love Pet Sitting, dedicated to building a professional pet care business to serve the community she loves.
In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, reading with third grade students at Jacobs Well Elementary, and advocating for marginalized kids, working to build safe spaces for them. Community service is one of her core values, and one of Puppy Love Pet Sitting’s, as well.
Shannon’s best furry friend is a rescue terrier named Magnet (because he sticks to her like one). She also soaks up the love of her two cats (Wookiee and Hobby Lobby), and two budgies (Bongo Pete and Puffin).
Robin
Saturday Manager/Pet Sitter
Robin’s lifelong love of animals began in childhood, always having a dog or a cat in her home. Settling in Wimberley in 2000, she and her husband always had plenty of pets–one time she counted a total of 32 with their household pets and assorted livestock!
After recently losing her senior dog, she is currently an empty nester. Robin gets plenty of time with animals, though, because besides being part of the Puppy Love team, she works at a local vet.
Puppy Love Pet Sitting was a great fit for her needs because it allows her a flexible schedule so she can pursue her love of travel. On the job, Robin loves the big dogs best. She also enjoys exploring new parts of Wimberley.
Robin’s expertise and enthusiasm make her an invaluable addition to the Puppy Love Pet Sitting family, and we have loved having her as part of the team!
Meghan
Team Leader/Pet Sitter
Meet Meghan, our resident cat whisperer! She has several of her own at home, along with a very cool Crested Gecko and two human kiddos!
What sparked her interest in the wide world of pet care? Well, it’s simple: Meghan has been a card-carrying animal aficionado since day one. The chance to love on a variety of pets was just too hard to resist. She has had a great time learning to care for new animals in her time with Puppy Love Pet Sitting. Turkeys and mini-horses have made a big impression!
When she’s not busy pampering pets, you can bet Meghan is off an some Disney adventure–whether it’s Land or World, she’s all in! When she’s not exploring the Magic Kingdom, you can find her soaking up the sun by the creek with her twins, or unleashing her inner artist with adult coloring books and a well-deserved glass of wine.
With Meghan on the Puppy Love team, we know all the pets she visits are in for a treat–tons of love, endless cuddles and maybe even a few Disney singalongs as icing on the cake!
Jennifer
Team Leader/Pet Sitter
Meet Jennifer! With a lifelong love for animals, Jennifer’s expertise lies particularly in equine care. From caring for her own pets to grooming for her daughter’s competitive riding pursuits, Jennifer’s dedication to animal welfare is unmatched.
As a pet caregiver, Jennifer sees herself as an advocate for the animals she serves, finding fulfillment in ensuring their well-being.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys drawing, with a focus on illustrating horses for coloring books.
What Jennifer treasures most about working with animals is the tranquility found in their presence, whether it’s dogs, cats, horses, or chickens.
At home, Jennifer is surrounded by her three dog rescues—Lance, Moose, and Tootsie—and a lively flock of nearly 20 chickens.
While Jennifer loves all animals, her heart belongs to horses, particularly ponies. Her unwavering dedication makes her an invaluable asset to our team, committed to providing exceptional care to every pet she encounters.
Cherie
Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
Meet our team member, Cherie, a seasoned pet owner with a wealth of experience in animal care. Cherie currently shares her home with 4 dogs and 5 cats, but in the past, she’s had everything from chickens and peafowl, to goats and a horse! Cherie loves learning about diagnoses and treatments of animals, and would love to become a vet tech.
In her spare time, she enjoys collecting and making art, antiquing, and gardening, especially with native plants.
We love having Cherie as part of our Puppy Love team!
Lia
Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
Meet Lia! She finds peace in the company of animals, cherishing the connections she builds with them on the job at Puppy Love.
An avid fan of the outdoors, Lia especially enjoys dog walks on the job! Lia has been a pet parent to a wide assortment of animals, including her current two rescue dogs and her rabbit, Ebster the Easter Bunny.
She has a passion for therapeutic equestrian work, and dreams of owning her own small farm one day. Lia’s love of animals shows in her fantastic work as part of the Puppy Love team!
Kellie
Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
Kellie’s deep love of animals led her to apply to be part of the Puppy Love team. She prides herself in making sure all the pets in our care receive the love and attention they deserve, and enjoys being able to give our clients peace of mind when they’re away. She has a soft spot for pets with medical conditions, after caring for her own medically fragile cat.
While she has two cats of her own now (Ninja and T-Bo), she grew up in a home full of pets, all rescues or foster fails. Her mom rescued everything from dogs and cats to reptiles, birds, marsupials and rodents! Kellie grew up learning how to rehabilitate ailing animals (especially chickens), which sparked a love of nurturing pets from a very young age.
When not working, Kellie loves road trips and swimming at local watering holes. And as much as she loves pets, she has an ever bigger heart for children. She’s currently attending college with hopes of one day becoming a teacher.
Kellie’s compassionate and dedicated personality make her a perfect fit for Puppy Love Pet Sitting, and we are so lucky to have her on our team!
Donna
Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
Donna joined the Puppy Love Pet Sitting team in May of 2024, after seeing an ad for a job opening and thinking it would be a perfect fit for her. Donna has two heelers, Cricket and Daisy, who bring tremendous joy to her and her husband, a Vietnam Veteran who affectionately calls 18-month-old daisy his “emotional support dog”.
Donna soaks up the unconditional love that comes from being around animals, and enjoy the variety that each day at Puppy Love Pet Sitting brings. She has always had an affinity for dogs, and a special connection with even the most timid pups.
Outside of work, Donna enjoys traveling (she’s a retired travel agent), reading, knitting, thrift shopping, playing with her grandkids, walking her dogs and floating in the pool. She has always been passionate about learning Spanish, since she was a child, and after multiple immersive study abroad experiences in Guadalajara and Peru, she became fluent, proving that when Donna sets her mind to something, nothing will get in her way!
Donna is dedicated to providing the best care and love to every pet she meets, and we are so thankful to have her as part of our team!
Steve
Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
Steve’s journey into pet sitting was inspired by a deep love for animals, sparked after the loss of his beloved Viszla, Ma’ii. Currently, he cares for two “barn cats” at home: Sasso, a rescued male and Callie, a recent addition.
His favorite part of pet sitting is the diverse range of animals he gets to care for, from cats to goats and even tortoises. Steve’s lifelong passion for animals began with his first word, “Blue”, the name of his Cocker Spaniel.
Beyond pet sitting, Steve enjoys woodworking and maintaining the wildlife feeders on the 15-acre property he shares with his wife. He often spends his free time swimming at Blue Hole or playing golf.
Steve is dedicated to providing every pet he cares for with the same love and attention they receive from their families. His commitment to our clients and their pets has made him a wonderful addition to our team!
